Markree Castle Sligo Ireland, Wedding Photographer, Winter Wedding

A selection of photos from Leanne and Michael’s Wedding in Markree Castle, Co Sligo.

Markree Castle Wedding

Michael and Leanne decided to have their wedding ceremony in St Brigid’s Church, Ballintra, Co Donegal. They had their wedding reception afterwards in Markree Castle, Co Sligo. This 17th Century wedding venue, an  authentic Irish castle located in the beautiful County Sligo on the route of the world-famous Wild Atlantic Way.

Leanne and her bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done in St John’s Point. Kerry Harvey was there from early morning to do the girls’ makeup. The hairstyles were done by Aishlin Watters, Mango Hair.

Michael, the groom, along with his groomsmen got ready outside Donegal Town.

Fr Adrian Gavigan was the officiant that oversaw the marriage ceremony. Deane Conaghan played the music during the wedding ceremony. After exchanging their wedding rings and signing the register, they made their way back down the aisle. They were congratulated by their friends and family as they left the church.

There was a quick stop on the way at Mullaghmore for some photos.

As the guests were enjoying the drinks reception we got some photos around the grounds. After the meal and speeches, the newly married couple cut their wedding cake..

Leanne and Michael had their first dance in the courtyard. All the guests made a circle around them while holding sparklers.

They then moved inside for the rest of the night. The dance-floor never stopped hopping with the big crowd partying away into the night.
